About Us
IcFEM Dreamland Education Centre (DEC) is a primary school founded by IcFEM Mission with a commitment to providing children in Kimilili with the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and spiritually. The school offers a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where children are encouraged to learn, play, and grow into confident, disciplined, and responsible individuals.
Established in 2001, DEC has continued to grow in both facilities and impact. In 2021, a purpose-built dormitory was completed to support learners who require boarding services. The school currently serves approximately 200 pupils, with about 100 children enrolled in the boarding program. DEC is located about 3 kilometres outside Kimilili town, on the same compound as Dreamland Mission Hospital, providing a secure and well-supported learning environment. A school bus is available to transport day scholars safely to and from school.
As a faith-based institution under IcFEM Mission, Dreamland Education Centre integrates quality early childhood and primary education with Christian teachings, nurturing Christ-like values that build strong character, discipline, and a sense of purpose from an early age. The school places equal emphasis on academic excellence and moral development, ensuring learners are well prepared for life and leadership.
DEC is consistently ranked among the top five primary schools in the county, reflecting its strong academic performance and commitment to excellence. This achievement opens doors for learners to progress to secondary education and, ultimately, to college or university—opportunities that remain a distant dream for many children in rural Kenya, but a growing reality at Dreamland Education Centre.
